Additional Questions that were brought up at the briefing.

  1. Q: Will there be a traffic signal and/or stop sign where the Stonecroft Blvd is currently a cul-de-sac (next to the Goddard School) when Poplar Tree Rd is extended?

A: No traffic signal or stop sign is called for in the design at the area where the two current shopping center entrances enter at Stonecroft Blvd.  There is a traffic signal planned just to the east at the entrance to the new E.C. Lawrence Park access road.    The posted speed on extended Poplar Tree Rd will be 25mph.

  1. Q: What is the timing of the removal of the 4 traffic signals along Rt 28?

A: The 4 traffic signals on Route 28 between the E.C. Lawrence Park entrance and I-66 will be removed in a phased approach starting in early 2019 with the removal of the light at NB Route 28/Walney Road through November 2020.  Specific details on the exact timing of each of the signals as well as any associated traffic pattern changes or detours will be part of a larger outreach effort as construction timing is more finalized.

  1. Q: When will Poplar Tree Rd Bridge be opened?

A:  Poplar Tree Road Bridge is planned to be opened in November 2020.
